From the past 28 years, Caritas Nepal has been working on humanitarian and development sector as a non-profit organization. Since its establishment in 1990, Caritas is always prioritized emergency situation and supported emergency supplies, food and non-food items to families in need. Not only in emergency period, Caritas with its long term vision and mission always standing firm and steady to reduce gender biasness, discard social injustice, child abuse and promote youth empowerment activities.Caritas Nepal stepped in its 28th year of successful and victorious journey towards Peaceful, equitable and just society. To celebrate the joy of completion of 27th year, Caritas Nepal organized 28th Annual General Assembly on 28th October 2017 in its office premises.

The event was inaugurated by Rev. Bishop Paul Simick by lightening of the lamp. Ms. Januka Dahal, master of ceremony, welcomed Caritas Nepal’s Executive Committee Members, General Body Members, Caritas Nepal’s staffs and some of the CIMOs representative. Fr. Robin Rai, CN assistant executive director delivered the welcome statement.

Mrs. Rama Parajuli, Secretary of CN, shared minutes of 27th General Assembly of CN which was approved by Executive Board Members. Mr. Manindra Malla, Program Manager, presented project interventions and briefly addressed about the projects that had been implemented within the year 2016-17. Mr. Devendra Pokharel, BREP Program Manager presented on Caritas Nepal’s BREP program that has been supporting education to children in Bhutanese Refugee camp since 25 years. He noted that the project has been successful and is about to celebrate it silver jubilee.

Mr. Indra Bahadur Nepali, Finance Manager, presented the financial report of the year 2016-2017 which included financial statement of the Fiscal year 2016/17, income and expenditure and endorsed financial statement. After the motivational words from Rev. Bishop Paul Simick, Fr. Ajay Pradhan concluded the 28th Annual General Assembly program with vote of thanks to everyone.
