District Level Network Meeting
On 31st August 2017, District Level Network Meeting was conducted at Pastoral Centre, Godawari, Lalitpur. Fr. Piush Perumana, Fr. Robin Rai (assistant Director of CN), Chairperson from Godawari Municipality ward no. 3 and 13, cooperative chairpersons, managers and committee members from 5 cooperatives participated in this meeting. The meeting was started after the lighting ceremony by both priests, ward level chairperson, cooperative chairperson. Mr. Krishna Kumar Tamang (Program Officer) highlighted objective of the meeting that was to reflect about the 2016-2017 programs’ overall outcome, challenge and suggestion as well as brief the participants about the 2017-2018 programs activities. The interaction session was facilitated by Mr. Krishna Kumar Tamang and Miss Savana Shrestha. All Cooperatives shared their cooperative’s progress report and also gave one another suggestions.
Ms. Sylvia Rai and Purusotam Tamang also gave a short presentation on Migration to the Cooperative leaders, so that they can gain knowledge about the process, documentation required during aboard migration for employment/labour.
District level Cooperative Meeting ended with the closing remarks by Assistant Director Fr. Robin Rai. He thanked all the cooperative leaders for their efforts to reduce poverty through cooperative movement and their valuable time; also for the suggestion interaction which was important for both the cooperative network member as well as Caritas Nepal.
