Intending to introduce and orient on the basic principles and core humanitarian standard through the use of new sphere handbook during emergency response we conducted 4 days Training on sphere standards and its implementation in humanitarian action from 11-14 September, 2019.
The training has been conducted under the programme entitled “European Asian Partnership for Building Capacities in Humanitarian Action” (PEACH II), which is consortium program of Caritas Austria, Caritas Czech Republic, Caritas Romania, Caritas Nepal, Caritas India, Caritas Pakistan Caritas Myanmar, Caritas Philippines, Caritas Bangladesh, Caritas Indonesia and Caritas Mongolia.
The project has been designed to enhance the technical and operational capacities of Caritas organization in humanitarian and volunteer management. CN has been providing training on sphere standard and its implementation in humanitarian response to the local partner organizations.
The training was attended by 19 participants from 13 partner organizations of different disaster prone districts which will help us and them to improve the quality of assistance provided to people affected by disasters and the accountability of the humanitarian system in their disaster.
