Empowered by a revolving fund support of NPR 45,344 and essential irrigation materials like a 2-inch GI pipe, socket, motor, and delivery pipe, Jaya cultivated not only bananas but also started chili cultivation.

“This approach has facilitated the efficient use of land and inputs: including irrigation and fertilizers. Additionally, we have generated income from inter-cropping, recovering our investment in bananas.”

The initial sales of chilies was NPR 25,000 from 200 kg, promising an estimated income of NPR 60,000 by season end from 600 kg.

Moreover, Jaya aims sales of 8000 dozen at NPR 35/dozen, amounting to a potential net profit of NPR 280,000 from the banana harvest.
