Position Title: Sub-Engineer-1

Project: PREPARE Project

Duty Station: Field-Based (Banke & Dang Districts)

Reports to: Project Lead – PREPARE Project / Province Manager – Caritas Nepal, Kohalpur

Duration: 3 months (extension as Per Need)

Working Hours: Full-time (Field-based with extensive travel)

Qualifications and Experience:

· Diploma in Civil Engineering (Minimum)/Sub Engineer.

· At least 1–2 years of professional experience in civil works, with knowledge in DRR, NbS (Nature Base Solution) and bioengineering.

· Proven experience in the design, estimation, and implementation of community-based Disaster Risk mitigation structures.

· Sound knowledge of DRR principles, Community based disaster Risk Mitigation structure, climate adaptation, and natural infrastructure.

· Field experience in construction supervision, quality assurance, and site management in rural areas.

Additional Requirement:

· Strong technical and analytical skills in civil engineering and bioengineering.

· Practical knowledge of community facilitation, participatory planning, and rural infrastructure.

· Excellent verbal and written communication in Nepali and Basic English.

· Proficient in report writing, data recording, and documentation of field activities.

· Skilled in time management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

· Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license and be willing to travel extensively.

· High level of motivation, integrity, and dedication to working with vulnerable communities.
