Position Title:  Social Mobilizer

No. of Position required:  Three-3

Project: Enhancing a Protective Environment for Every Child (EPEEC)

Duty Station: Gauriganj Rural Municipality, Jhapa District (field-based in assigned wards)

Project Location: Gauriganj Rural Municipality, Jhapa District      

Reports To: Project officer/Project Coordinator

Contract Duration: Initially 1 year (Including 6 months of probation)

1. Job Summary

The Social Mobilizer will work directly with children, families, and community groups in the project area to implement day-to-day activities. S/he will support awareness raising, home visits, school outreach, child club activities, and data collection under the guidance of the Project Officer and PC.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

• Completion of intermediate level (+2) in any discipline.
•  

Skill and Experience:

• At least 1 year of experience in community work, volunteering, or social mobilization.
• Willingness to learn and work with children and communities.
• Basic knowledge of child rights and protection issues.
• Ability to travel on foot and by local transport in rural areas.

Languages: Good communication skills in Nepali and Basic skill in English and local languages.

Core competency:

• Familiarity with local contexts, customs, and cultures of mix-community is preferred.
• Demonstrates strong Community mobilization skills
• Strong rapport building skills with local stake holders
• Takes initiatives;
• Acts as a team player and facilitates teamwork

Additional Preferences:

• Valid motorcycle license and driving skills is preferred.
