Position                  : Social Mobilizer (2 Positions)

Project                   : Empowering Returnees and Potential Migrants though local Employment Initiatives

Location                 : Rong Rural Municipality, Ilam District, Nepal

Reporting To         : Sr. Project Officer, Caritas Nepal

Working Station   : Rong Rural Municipality Office (Rojgar Shakha)

Contract Duration: Initially 1 year (Including 6 months of probation)

1. Job Summary

The Social Mobilizer will be responsible for mobilizing communities, facilitating awareness sessions, identifying beneficiaries, and supporting the implementation of project activities at the ward and community levels. The role requires close coordination with the Rojgar Shakha of Rong Rural Municipality, local stakeholders, and community groups to promote safe migration, support returnees, and strengthen local governance mechanisms.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

• Completion of intermediate level (+2) in any discipline.
•  

Skill and Experience:

• At least 1 year of experience in community work, volunteering, or social mobilization.
• Willingness to learn and work with communities.
• Basic knowledge on migration, reintegration and financial literacy.
• Ability to travel on foot and by local transport in rural areas.

Languages: Good communication skills in Nepali and Basic skill in English and local languages.

Core competency:

• Familiarity with local contexts, customs, and cultures of mix-community is preferred.
• Demonstrates strong Community mobilization skills
• Strong rapport building skills with local stake holders
• Takes initiatives;
• Acts as a team player and facilitates teamwork

Additional Preferences:

• Valid motorcycle license and driving skills is preferred.
