Finance Assistant

CN invites eligible applications from qualified Nepali citizens for the following position under the Food Security and Resilient Project (FSRP) -Khatyad, Mugu. The project aims to increase food security and climate resilience of more than 600 smallholder farmers in ward 3, 5 and 6 of Khatyad Rural Municipality in Mugu district.

Requirements and Qualifications

1. Education/experience requirement:
   1. Minimum Grade XII passed in management with 2 years of experience in accounting/finance. Candidates with bachelor’s degree and relevant experience will be given preference.
2. Competencies and Personal Experience:
3. Knowledge on basic principles of accounting and financial procedures;
4. Excellent knowledge on Microsoft Offices (Especially on Word and Excel, including typing skills both in Nepali and English);
5. Skills and experiences in operating computerized financial systems;
6. Familiarity with double-entry accounting Money Works Software.
7. Understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures; especially knowledge in relevant IRD rule and regulation;
8. Fluency in both written and spoken Nepali and English;
9. General knowledge and skill of managing HR, procurement, administration and logistics issues
10. Excellent attention to details including pro-activeness, creativity and reliability; and
11. Excellent coordination, team building and interpersonal skills, problem-solving attitude;
12. Willingness to stay and work in Mugu district
