Vacancy Announcement for Assistant Agriculture Technician

CN invites eligible applications from qualified Nepali citizens for the following position under the Food Security and Resilient Project (FSRP) -Khatyad, Mugu. The project aims to increase food security and climate resilience of more than 600 smallholder farmers in ward 3, 5 and 6 of Khatyad Rural Municipality in Mugu district.

Designation: Assistant Agriculture Technician

Location: Caritas Nepal, Field office Mugu

Qualifications and Experience:

· ISC in Agriculture with at least 2 years of experience, or Junior Technical Assistant (JTA) with over 4 years of experience in organic farming, agro-ecology, or agricultural techniques.

· Assist to research, analyze, and develop strategic plans for agricultural farms aligning with local context.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Nepali, including the ability to prepare activity work plans and event reports.

· Proficiency in the local language is preferred.

· Strong networking, coordination, and advocacy skills are highly desirable.

· Proven community mobilization skills and willingness to work in remote areas.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirement:

· Valid motorcycle license and driving skills are required.
